Email marketing and automation

Newsletters and flows that arrive and that produce something. Segmentation, automation and deliverability in Brevo, Copernica, HubSpot and Zoho, steered on clicks and conversion.

Get in touch

Email marketing is two things at once for me: the message and the technique underneath. I produce the newsletter, build the segments and the flow, and make sure SPF, DKIM and DMARC are right so the message actually reaches the inbox.

What I do

  • Produce, send and report on newsletters in Brevo, Copernica, HubSpot and Zoho
  • Build segments on behaviour instead of on gut feeling
  • Set up automation flows and measure where people drop out
  • Get deliverability in order: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, an unsubscribe link that works in one click and a list that stays clean
  • Report on clicks, conversion and unsubscribes, with open rate present as context only
  • A/B test subject lines and turn the outcome into a decision

Where this comes from

I produced, sent and reported on newsletters at KBenP, HyperMe Marketing and Unicorn Displays. I set up marketing automation for the clients of HyperMe. At KBenP that ran alongside SEO, SEA, social and A/B testing for several business units at the same time.

Why this works

Since February 2024 Google and Yahoo have set hard requirements for senders of more than 5,000 messages a day, and Microsoft extended the same on 5 May 2025 to Outlook.com, Hotmail.com and Live.com. Miss that and your newsletter does not drop in open rate, it disappears from the inbox. And since Apple Mail Privacy Protection that open rate does not say much anyway.

Try it yourself

The email marketing demo shows campaigns on clicks and conversion, a segment builder that counts along live, an automation flow per step and a deliverability check against the norm.
